The Hungarian football federation said Varga was "conscious and responsive" after the incident, which occurred in the second half of the match in Stuttgart, Germany.
Varga was injured in a collision with Scotland defender Kieran Tierney. He was treated on the pitch for several minutes before being stretchered off.
